3-Mast Schooner Atlantic

Measuring almost 70 metres overall, Atlantic is the largest of all schooners recreated. Her original design dates back to 1903 but her ultimate fame came from the speed record set sailing from New York to England, a record that stood for 100 years. She was built at the van der Graaf Shipyard in Holland. Carrying close to 1800m2 sail, Touchwood custom cut all spruce for booms and gaffs which where built at Ventis in Enkhuizen. For the interior some of the finest quarter sawn Alaskan Cedar was supplied which was used as cabinet lining. Atlantic will set sail in 2010 but already has many stories to tell, more on this exquisite beauty at: www.schooner-atlantic.com
