A state of the art racing spar for Int. 8-Metre Saskia

Probably the most famous Fife designed Int. 8-Metre. She won the coveted Seawanhaka Cup in 1931, sailed the Olympics in 1936 and won the Sira Cup in 2007. Throughout her history she had custodians who wanted to win the race they entered and Saskia was the girl that continued to deliver.

Touchwood supplied wood for two masts: an all round mast built at her restoration in Portugal and an all out state of the art racing mast was later built by the wooden spar experts at Ventis in Enkhuizen. Saskia continues to win and continues to turn heads. A superb and beautiful Eight with Sitka spruce racing spars to match.
